    1. Lusine: Two Dots (Pezzner remix) I spotted this beauty from a recent Sasha set. Track doesn’t really kick in properly but is filled with emotion. Sasha has always had that magical taste for timeless vocal tracks. Someone should do a great bootleg with this one. Anyone?

    2. Escala: Children (Jerome Isma-ae remix) Thsi has been mislabeled as remix of Robert Miles (who made the original track) but it’s actually remix of “Britain Has Talent” group Escala. I think they are a violin quartet or something like that. Their original version of Children isn’t bad either. Of course the original is the most magical one. Still remember hearing it for the first time in 1995. And who remembers that it was included on Renaissance 2 mix CD by John Digweed? Talk about crossover!

    3. Pryda: Waves Eric Prydz doesn’t sleep or rest does he? Amazing how he can balance between the mainstream and underground while his more commercial tracks (like this one) still ooze quality and warmth. Great end-of-the-summer anthem which fits many different sets, venues, times and moods.

    4. Doves: Jetstream (Sasha remix) Sasha should really do more production work! Here he once again shows how to be big, bold and melodic without a hint of cheese. There’s also a 11 minute dub version for those who don’t like the vocal so much. Once again a track you could play in techno, house, prog or trance set. Doves is one of the best bands out there while Sasha is one of the alltime greatest remixers so the expectations were skyhigh with this one.

    5. LYS feat Moolie: San Francisco Rain One of this summers biggest tracks and catchiest vocals. Chris Lake’s Rising Music is definitely on the rise. This is one is on the edge of cheesiness but manages to do it all with style. Girls on the dancefloor seem to love it too!

    6. La Roux: In For The Kill (Tristan Ingram & Black Russian Festival Edit) And third BIG vocal in a row. Summer anthem written all over this one. Heard Adam Sheridan drop this one in Cream @ Amnesia in Ibiza and was one of the highlights of the night. This remix is based on the Skream’s drum’n'bass mix which is amazing too. And messing with tempos is nice too. People are in a bit of WTF state when hearing the breakdown first time.

    7. Union Jack: Tricklops Union Jack - the masters, true innovators and original creators of trance make a triumphant return. Simon Berry (aka Art of Trance) is also in great form with Union Jack with his new studio partner. Second single from Union Jack’s forthcoming album ‘Pylon Pigs’. I’ve heard the whole album and it’s my dance album of the year so far. Tricklops is innovative in many ways (time signature for example) and again is a very uplifting and melodic track without being too cheesy in my opinion. Great stuff and I highly recommend the album!

    8. Lange & Andy Moor: Stadium Four Again a very very talented combo which you expect to deliver world class stuff. I think the breakdown melody is gorgeous. The groove isn’t bad either but it’s all about the melody for me. I would actually be interested to hear a more melodic version of this,. Lange? Andy? Please? :)

    9. Majero: Believe Amazing late 90s vibe trance here. Standout track from Solarstone’s EA compilation and a forthcoming release on Solaris from one of today’s most promising names Majera (Engin Ogutveren). Sounds very much like old Push/MIKE material. One for the bigger and trancier floors!

    10. Jean-Michel Jarre: Oxygen (Solarstone Stellar Mix) Great great update of an old classic. It will be an official remix and I think released together with Jon 00 Fleming’s remix. I know this was big thing for Rich to make and you can hear he put his heart & soul into this. I saw Jarre here in Helsinki live in May and he was soooooo good. Amazing how full of energy he was! We’ve been spoiled this year in Helsinki with the foreign guests: Jarre, Kraftwerk, BT, Paul van Dyk, Nick Warren, Erick Morillo, Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold etc…

  1. Btw, the singer is surprisingly finnish Vilja Larjosto. Great voice and great vocal delivery!
