Nightwish: Bye Bye Beautiful (Orkidea rmx)

I’ve been working since August on a remix for finnish heavy metal band Nightwish’s Bye Bye Beautiful single. The remix came out as an epic 12 minute trance track consisting of over 100 audio tracks. Petri “Lowland” Alanko also helped me with it by providing some gorgeous strings parts, wicked analog lines and helped with the final mixdown. We are both very happy with the result and the band likes it a lot too. Respect to Mr. Holopainen for suggesting this and being openminded for new things!
Seems like there won’t be any official or commercial single for the finnish market, but my remix will be at least on the german official Bye Bye Beautiful single. The whole album is really good too and in my opinion their strongest yet and with all it’s “complexity meets good pop hooks” should do well for the band. I hope to include this remix also on my own album which will be out February 2008.

no fucking it’ll be quite fun to hear nightwish’s song in techno version if yo wouldn’t kie it, just listen to the original. I thinka it’s great idea once you are on party when nobody listens to metal you can give them this miź and they will be happy cause it ‘umcy umcy’ and you also cause it’s your nightwish in a way I can’t wait to hear it

Screw the narrow minded rock kid fuckers, I probably know more about metal than these kids will all their life yet I still find time for everything from hiphop to classical. Congrautlations for having the open mind to do this.

Well, I for one am extremely excited to hear the song. I’ve noticed that some of Nightwish;s newer songs have seemed to incorporate a more dancey drum beat (Wish I Had An Angel, Bye Bye Beautiful), and I can;t wait to hear your version of this amazing song. It should be twelve minutes of greatness. =]
I only wish that I could hear your remix of ‘Nemo’ as well. Hopefully someday you can release it!

I rly love the remix, its so beautiful, no matter what the other kids my age think, jsut because it’s a remix of a symphonic metal song doesn’t mean it will be horrible. i love this song so much
